As a Special Needs Children Transportation Driver, you will be responsible for operating a vehicle equipped to accommodate children with various disabilities. Your primary duties will include safely loading and unloading passengers, following assigned routes, adhering to traffic laws, and maintaining a clean and operational vehicle. This role requires patience, empathy, and a commitment to the safety and well-being of the children in your care. Qualifications include a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and the ability to pass a background check. Experience working with children or individuals with special needs is a plus.

Role:

• Transport special needs (SEN) or vulnerable children and adults to and from school, college, or daycare centers.
• Operate in an effective, safe, and flexible manner to support the company’s operations.
• Establish positive and professional relationships with passengers, their carers/parents, and key personnel at their destinations.
• Maintain the vehicle in a roadworthy, clean, and tidy condition at all times.
• Be available both mornings and afternoons on all school days.

Responsibilities:

• Hold a valid UK driving licence.
• Drive a company-supplied vehicle, including cars, 8-seat people carriers, and larger wheelchair-accessible vehicles. Previous experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Keep the provided vehicle secure and in a safe and convenient location.

Requirements:

• Pass an enhanced criminal record check as the role involves working with children, young persons, and/or vulnerable adults.
• Comply with Group 2 medical licensing standards.
• Have the right to work in the UK.
